Our client is a campus ministry organization that works to engage others through gatherings, events and trainings.


As a Human Resources Manager, you will partner with leadership and staff to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention.

  • Ensure compliance with federal and state employment related legal requirements and company policies/procedures
  • Assist in mitigating legal risks and partner with the legal department as needed
  • Resolve employee relations issues
  • Provide coaching to staff directors on performance management, department restructures, workforce planning and exit interviews
  • Oversee the ongoing design and administration of the salary structure and compensation plan
  • Review and grade position descriptions across the organization
  • Partner and consult with staff directors on the recruitment, screening and hiring process for assigned positions
  • Partner with human resources team on development and implementation of goals/objectives, policies, procedures and systems
  • Train, coach and mentor human resources staff
  • Establish and nurture ministry partnership relationships through visits, phone calls and/or prayer letters
  • Raise an agreed-upon amount of financial support for the ministry


  • Must have 2+ years of human resources experience
  • Must have experience with employee relations, compensation, HRIS, recruitment, diversity, performance management and benefits
  • Must have knowledge of federal and state employment laws
  • Must have Bachelor’s degree, ideally in Human Resources
  • PHR or SPHR certification is preferred
  • Basic/intermediate MSWD, Excel and basic in PowerPoint
  • Any experience with Workday or any HCM software is a plus
  • Self-motivated
  • Excellent customer service and people skills
  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
  • Effective and strong verbal/written communication skills
  • Strong prioritizing skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be flexible and adapt well to changes
  • Strong follow-through on projects with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to develop relationships in order to gain support and achieve results
  • Ability to interact with staff at all levels of the company
  • Must be able to effectively envision, develop, and implement new strategies to address complex issues within the company

Hours: 40 hours per week between 7:30am – 5:00pm

Length: Temporary to Hire

Pay for the Human Resources Manager position: $45,000.00 – $55,000.00 / yr. – based on experience
