Are you a Direct Hire – Lead Teller who has good overall math skills? Are you a Direct Hire – Lead Teller who is looking for an opportunity within a leadership role?

Our client is a full service credit union.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

As a Lead Teller, you will be responsible for assisting the Teller Supervisor or Branch Manager with daily operations of the Teller area.

  • Advise Tellers on member transactions, questions and problems
  • Promote member advocacy, including the incentive program and motivate employees to meet monthly goals
  • Assist with Teller training and development by participating in employee training sessions, cross-training, monthly staff meetings, employee motivation and discipline
  • Take an active role in the employee appraisal process, which may include providing written and/or verbal input
  • Assist the Teller Supervisor or Branch Manager in auditing cash drawers on a monthly basis or as needed
  • Research and follow up on member complaints
  • Perform Teller duties as needed
  • Assist the Teller Supervisor with maintaining Teller balancing records
  • Assist the Teller Supervisor with delegating the workflow of the Teller area including assigning, delegating, coordinating and reviewing the work of the staff
  • Assist with Teller Supervisor duties on a daily basis and assume responsibility for them in the absence with duties
  • May assist the Teller Supervisor or Branch Manager with the hiring process

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • Lead teller experience is highly preferred
  • Would consider Retail Supervisor experience
  • Financial or banking experience is a plus
  • MSWD and Excel skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to react to change, feedback and critique quickly and positively
  • Comfortable working in an environment where ideas are shared
  • Friendly, personable and easygoing
  • Outstanding customer service and relationship building skills
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to assess employee performance and determine areas of improvement
  • Good math skills overall
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information
  • Comfortable suggesting products and services that work best for the customer
  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
  • Team player and strong work ethic

GENERAL INFORMATION:

Hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm Monday – Friday and will work every other 4th or 5th Saturday from 8:15am – 12:15pm
