Our client has been proudly serving the area for 15 years. They focus on finding the right product for their customers without using high-pressure sales.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

As a Medical Equipment / Office Assistant, you will confirm collected data from the intake assistant is correct in customer charts, work with data entry, file preparation and insurance verifications.

  • Create sales orders for incoming orders for the equipment
  • Obtain prescriptions, progress/clinical notes and other documentation for claims to be submitted
  • Obtain prior authorizations as needed from payer sources including renewals
  • Work with insurance criteria/checklists, medical policies and fee schedules to assist customers in receiving the equipment they need
  • Assist with reports and tasks throughout the department
  • Filing, scanning and sorting documents
  • You will be cross trained to also assist in the billing department
  • Assist with answering incoming customer calls and with customers in the showroom

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • 6+ months of office experience is highly preferred
  • Would consider someone with 6+ months of some type of medical experience
  • Any medical billing experience is a plus
  • Any medical clinic or health insurance company and familiarity with medical billing is a plus
  • Basic skillset in MSWD and Excel
  • Any experience/knowledge with Brightree is a plus
  • Self-motivated, driven and a positive attitude
  • Professional, warm and welcoming
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Must be extremely detailed and accurate
  • Must be okay with a management style that is more direct and open with their communication
  • Must be okay with a training process that is unstructured
  • Ability to catch on quickly and take good notes
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Outstanding time-management skills in a sometimes stressful fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work well in a small company and get along well with the team
  • Team player, must help out however and wherever needed
